What is the message about? . . .
The world promises the satisfaction of all human desires. Whatever you hunger for, it claims that it will provide. Power. Resources. Safety. Sex. Freedom. Thrills. Wellbeing. We are bombarded constantly with advertising that tells us what we need to make it so. It’s a bit of a trap though. When you try to find fulfillment of these things from what the world provides, hunger grows greater until it becomes all-consuming and can never be satisfied. What deserves our loyalty and devotion? Where do we focus when we expect good to happen? Where is the benevolent concern for us to be found? Jesus knew where real, permanent, and eternal satisfaction comes from. Where did he tell us to look? Let’s explore how we find real fulfillment and avoid the wrong and unwise. See you Sunday!
