What is the message about? . . .

People have a habit of building someone up and putting them on a pedestal, only to tear them down. The higher the rise, the steeper the fall. There is a dark corner of our minds that seems to revel in these scenarios. Today there are many sensationalist programs that exist in this format. TMZ, Inside Edition, Entertainment tonight. Build ‘em up, tear ‘em down. The public is very fickle. Loyalties, interests, and affections turn quickly. This Sunday, we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. The accounts of his miraculous power preceded him. There were crowds waving palms and shouting “Hosanna! Blessings! Peace! Glory!” This is how Holy week begins, and it’s an astonishing sequence of the highest highs and lowest lows for followers of Christ for the next seven days. An intense battle between life and death, right and wrong, love and hate. Where is the victory? Come along with us on this ride if you dare. See you Sunday!
